Miss Audree {Newborn}

Welcome to world Miss Audree Elaine Kochan! Corey & Krystal had Audree (my new niece) on February 16th and I'm so happy that I was able to capture her as a newborn! She's so cute and has so many facial expressions already. She loves to smile and makes the cutest little noises! I can't wait to have so much fun with her as she grows! She is one loved baby already being the vest first Kochan grand baby! ;)

Alaina & Kurt {Get Married}

I had the chance to head over to Grand Rapids to shoot Alaina & Kurt's wedding in January! I love Grand Rapids and was so happy I was able to be apart of their day! Alaina and Kurt are so in love and so cute together! I've known Alaina for along time and was honored she asked me to shoot your day. We had so many awesome places to take pictures and luckily we were able to avoid the cold for most of the pictures! :) Congratulations you guys!! I wish you both the best!

Melissa & Travis {Get Married!} Wait! That's Me!

So I figured it's about time that I finally post some pictures from my own wedding! Travis and I tied the knot on August 26th this year. All I have to say is I'm glad this is only happening once! I loved the planning part of everything and I do miss that, BUT it sure takes up a lot of time!! Now that I've been a "Bride" I have experienced the other side of what my clients have been through now. Hats off to all of you!

We had our wedding on the beach in St. Joseph, MI. I love weddings in Michigan but I needed something a little different then what I'm used to seeing in the Metro Detroit area. Travis had these ideas of doing a complete destination wedding... but I didn't want to put that pressure on the families to make it to our wedding. So I did some research of different places in Michigan to get married. I'm always looking at photographers blogs to get inspiration and just so beautiful work from other artist. I came across a blog entry and just fell in love instantly with the location of the wedding. After digging for some info through the blog and other sites I found out where it was and knew that is where I wanted to have my wedding someday! You may have seen the proposal entry, but that trip to St. Joseph was for "us to take a look at the town and the area" since Travis knew that was where I possibly would want to get married some day, and we did!

Toughest part of the whole wedding planning for me was choosing the photographer. Of course the first question anyone asked me when they knew I was getting married was "So who will shoot your wedding?" It was really tough! I loved all my options of people and would have loved all my favorite photographers to be there, if I could have afforded it! But I ended up going with Linnealiz Photography. I love Rachel & Sarah and they were amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything more! Here are just a few of my favorites and also here is the blog entry from our wedding.

We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! The weather was PERFECT! Not too hot, not too cold, wind wasn't bad at all on the beach! Just amazingly perfect!

We were so happy and blessed to have my brother Chris marry us! We couldn't have thought of anyone else that would make it personal to us. He did a great job for his first time and we are so thankful for him being willing enough to do such a huge thing for us!

 So the place I fell in love with is The Veranda at The Whitcomb. Hopefully you will see why I loved this venue so much!

All in all it was an awesome day and I wish I could relive it!! I'm forever thankful for all my little helpers of setting up the reception and beach that day! There is no way things wouldn't have gone as well as they did if I didn't have their help! THANK YOU!!! I love the fact that looking back on my pictures NEVER gets old! ;)
